I'm always experimenting with healthy ingredients for my desserts. Healthy alternatives are good. And if they make your food nutritious without compromising the taste then I always go with the healthy alternative.
In my experience, they've turned out great. I have experimented with oats, whole wheat, buckwheat, multigrain flour and they all have given excellent results! I've also tried using jaggery sugar, coconut sugar, Stevia, honey in my desserts.
Definitely, the taste is not the same as you get with refined flour and sugar. Since childhood, we are fed all these decadent, tasty treats and suddenly shifting to healthier alternatives is not easy.
Once in a while, these treats are acceptable, but what about the people who have them 10-15 times a week? (like me)
Making these healthy desserts, knowing they are nutritious and good for my body, I feel more confident about my work.
Experimenting with different ingredients and trying out various recipes I want you to know- healthy food is not only boring salads and boiled stuff. With good knowledge of ingredients available on the internet, you can make various nutritious, healthy, tasty and satisfying dishes! (Like this one)
