Eggless Sponge Cake

Sponge cakes are tricky. Especially those that require eggs. But not this one.
Who says you need to beat eggs for 20 minutes to get the perfect sponge cake? Well, a lot of people. But you can easily make one without eggs. It doesn't require any vegan alternative like flax seeds or meringue powder.
The best part of baking is your home smells of cake. And who doesn't like that?
For this cake, you'll need-
𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
1.5 Cup Plain Flour
3/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup Buttermilk (creamy curd)
1/2 cup unflavored oil (vegetable oil would do)
1/2 TSP Baking Soda
1 TSP Baking Powder
1 TSP pure Vanilla Extract (good quality)
𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱
Step 1
Preheat the oven @180°C. Line your baking pan with baking paper.
Step 2
Mix all the dry ingredients together
Step 3
Mix all the liquid ingredients together
Step 4
Whisk the liquid ingredients into the dry mixture gently.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Serve hot or cold with your favourite fresh fruits, berries, compot and whipped cream.
